Launching ELS shortly after law school as a solo practitioner, Valarie Sewer is no stranger to pursuing and achieving audacious goals. With more than 20 years of experience as a business, legal, and contracts professional, Valarie has advised entrepreneurs, small business owners, artists and entertainers, Fortune 500 companies, and privately held organizations on a wide range of business and legal matters.

Throughout her career, Valarie has helped organizations and individuals achieve their objectives while identifying, managing, and mitigating legal and financial risks. Her practical, business-minded approach enables clients to make informed decisions, seize opportunities, and build lasting success.

Valarie is equally committed to serving her community. Her pro bono work has included helping low-income cancer patients, firefighters, and veterans prepare essential estate planning documents, including wills, financial powers of attorney, and health care directives. She has also provided legal guidance to small business owners navigating various operational challenges.

Licensed to practice law in Missouri, Valarie founded ELS to leverage her experience, expertise, and passion for service. She is particularly dedicated to serving individuals and communities that have historically lacked access to legal counsel.

Valarie earned her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law, a Master of Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a Paralegal Certificate from University of California, Los Angeles Extension. In addition to her work with ELS, she currently serves as Senior Counsel for a global manufacturing company.
